I know I am pretty late in doing the Mid-Year Book Freakout Tag, but I’m doing it! Finally! So, let’s begin!
1. Best Book You’ve Read So Far In 2020

The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah! I read this book way back in January but the story has stayed with me. I loved this so much!
2. Best Sequel You’ve Read So Far In 2020
Sadly, I haven’t read any sequel so far this year.
3. New Release You Haven’t Read Yet, But Want To

There are so many new releases that I want to read, but I will go with A Song Below Water by Bethany C. Morrow!
4. Most Anticipated Read For The Second Half Of The Year

That would be These Violent Delights by Chloe Gong. It’s a Romeo and Juliet retelling set in 1920s Shanghai. I can’t wait to get my hands on this!
5. Biggest Disappointment

Spin The Dawn by Elizabeth Lim. I had very high expectations from this book and even though it was a 3 star read for me, there were certain inconsistencies in the book that bothered me and kinda ruined the experience for me.
6. Biggest Surprise

The Vinyl Underground by Rob Rufus. This was surprisingly good and I enjoyed reading it very much!
7. Favorite New Author(Debut or New To You)

Elizabeth Acevedo! After reading The Poet X this year (which was really good), Acevedo has become my auto-buy author!
8. Newest Fictional Crush

Kai from Summer Bird Blue! He’s so kind and a great friend to Rumi when she is going through a tough time.
9. Newest Favorite Character

There are many, but I will go with Simran from A Match Made-in Mehendi! She’s an artist and she’s strong and doesn’t take anyone’s bullshit!
10. Book That Made You Cry

Summer Bird Blue! It deals with grief and loss and was heart-wrenching!
11. Book That Made You Happy

Debbie Tung’s books never fail to put a smile on my face, and Happily Ever After was no different. It’s such a fun, light-hearted graphic novel about being an introvert and in a relationship.
12. Most Beautiful Book You’ve Bought So Far This Year(Or Received)

I bought a Kindle edition of Autoboyography by Christina Lauren. The cover is gorgeous!
13. Book That You Need To Read By the End Of The Year

The Poppy War Trilogy!
14. Favorite Book Community Member
There are many, so I can’t just name one!
Not tagging anyone in particular, you’re free to do the tag if you want to!
