15 Poets Whose Poetry I Wish To Read

Hello guys! Hope you are all well and safe! I know I begin every post the same way, but in these times, staying well and safe is the most important thing.

Today I’m going to share a list of 15 poets whose poetry books I want to read. I have started writing poems, so I figured it’s time to read and learn more poetry.

1. Emily Dickinson

Emily Dickinson’s famous poem, “Hope Is The Thing With Feathers”, is one of my favorites. I want to read all her poems.

2. Edgar Allan Poe


I really want to read Poe’s most famous poem, “The Raven”, amongst others.

3. William Wordsworth

The Collected Poems of William Wordsworth

William Wordsworth is a renowned poet whose poetry I would love to explore.

4. Robert Frost


Everyone knows about Robert Frost’s famous poem “The Road Not Taken”. I want to read more of his poems.

5. Sylvia Plath


Sylvia Plath’s most famous work in the genre of poetry is “Ariel”.

6. Pablo Neruda


Pablo Neruda is well-known in the genre of poetry.

7. Mary Oliver


I am currently reading “Upstream: Selected Essays” by Mary Oliver and loving it. I would love to read her poetry collection.

8. Michael Faudet


I have good things about Michael Faudet on Bookstagram and I am keen to read his poems.

9. Ocean Vuong

Ocean Vuong’s 2016 debut poetry collection “Night Sky With Exit Wounds” received a lot of praise and awards.

Lang Leav’s poetry collection titled “Lullabies” won the Goodreads Choice Award in the poetry genre in 2014.

Nikita Gill is another poet whose poetry has received a lot of praise.

12. Danez Smith

Danez Smith is an award-winning poet whose poetry collection has received plenty of praises.

13. Rupi Kaur


Rupi Kaur’s debut collection “Milk & Honey” received mixed reviews, but I wish to read it and decide for myself.

I have read only “the witch doesnt burn in this one” by Lovelace and I liked it. I am keen to read more of her poetry.
