Hello guys! I’m back with another TTT(Top Ten Tuesday) post.
Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.
Top Ten Tuesday has turned 10 today! Yay! So the prompt this week is to either redo an old post or pick an old post that hasn’t been posted by me yet. I have decided to select the prompt of “Bookstores & Libraries I’d Love To Visit”. So, let’s begin.
1. Shakespeare & Company, Paris, France
‘Shakespeare & Company’ is one of the most famous bookstore in the world, although I first heard about it when I joined Bookstagram. Located in Paris, it is an independent bookstore that was opened in the year 1951 by American George Whitman. It looks so quaint and pretty and I wish to visit this store once in my life.
2. The Last Bookstore, Los Angeles, USA
The Last Bookstore in Los Angeles, California is a beautiful bookstore with books set in various shapes and patterns (like the one seen in the photo). I have seen so many photos on Bookstagram of people posing in this bookstore that it tempts me to visit this bookstore too, if only to take pictures lol!
3. Persephone Books, London, U.K.
This shop usually focuses on 20th century women writers and also sells their books with grey covers and colorful linings.
4. Books Are Magic, Brooklyn, NYC, USA
This is another bookstore I’d love to visit, and pose in front of the mural outside the store, of course!
5. Kitaab Khana, Mumbai, India
This can be considered cheating since I live in Mumbai, but this is my favorite independent bookstore in the city and I cant visit it because of Covid, so yeah, a bookstore I’d love to go to once this lockdown eases.
6. The Strand, NYC, USA
The Strand Bookstore in NYC is also a famous bookstore that I’d love to go to one day.
7.Stuttgart City Library, Stuttgart, Germany
I would love to visit this library which looks shockingly white!
8. New York Public Library, Manhattan, NYC, USA
This is such a beautiful library. I would be delighted to visit it!
9. Abbey Gallery Of Saint Gall, St. Gallen, Switzerland
Just look how pretty it is! Need I say anything more?
10. Musashino Art University Library, Tokyo, Japan
It is my dream to visit Japan one day, so obviously, I want to visit a library there. And this library in Tokyo looks beautiful.
