May was a month of relaxation for me. The Courts were closed for the month of May and since I work as an advocate in a law firm, I was fortunate to be allowed on a holiday for two weeks in May. I spent my days mostly at home either reading, organizing my bookshelves or browsing the internet.
Reading:
- Every Heart A Doorway by Seanan Mcguire
I loved this book. The world created by the author was so innovative and I loved the creepy and eerie plot. The only complaint I have is that the story was quite short.
2. The Subtle Art of Not Giving A F*ck by Mark Manson
I started reading this non-fiction book in May and although I am yet to finish it, I have fallen in love with it. The advice given is spot-on and the situations are relatable. The book has really resonated with me.
Movies:
- Avengers Endgame
The highlight of the month was watching Endgame in the theatre. It was a phenomenal end to the Avengers installment. I loved every bit of it. The cheering by the theatre crowd in the action scenes added to the fun of watching the movie even more.
2. Before We Go
I watched this movie, starring Chris Evans, on Netflix and really liked it. It was sad and hopeful and I loved the story.
3. What’s Your Number?
This movie, also starring Chris Evans, was not that great. I found it quite silly, to be honest. It was funny, sometimes.
4. Gifted
I liked this movie which surprise! also starred Chris Evans. It was a short and sweet movie.
I also went with my Mum to Marine Drive in Mumbai to watch the sunset and just sit by the sea. We had a light dinner afterward at Pizza By the Bay, a restaurant just across the road from Marine Drive.
Marine Drive is also called the Queen’s Necklace
Sunset in Marine Drive
